Our Summer Programs Are Moving to R4Creating.org!
As we enter into our 20h year of providing STEM education and experiences, we are excited to plan for the next 20 years as we work to be a better version of ourselves each day. You will likely notice some changes as we shift services and reflect our mission in partnership with the 501c3, R4Creating. We are still offering amazing opportunities and will be creating even more. Thank you for your continued support and partnership and do feel free to contact us if you have any questions at info@BeGreaterThanAverage.org

“My daughter loved the 3D printing camp and it was great to see all that she learned in such a short time. I am a university professor in STEM myself and it was fantastic having my daughter exposed to the world of 3D printing at such a young age. From my daughter’s perspective, she now proudly tells all her friends that she knows how to design and create toys (e.g. unicorns, butterflies, octopus), and she has made gifts for friends. The camp was hands-on, the teachers interacted with the kids one-on-one when needed, and the kids learned how to problem-solve which is very important for them to be able to do. Our daughter also made new friends. The camp was fun for her and for me and my wife too as we watched her excitement as she learned. Our daughter is continuing to use the skills she gained now that the class has ended. I highly recommend this course!”

“I HIGHLY recommend these camps!! 4 of my children have participated in Be Greater than camps. The camps have sparked a love of technology and robotics for all of them. My oldest has joined the robotics team and has grown so much in many areas (this is not just about robotics; it’s character, teamwork, and responsibility). One of my daughters took the 3D printing class and has learned so much. She is able to run her printer, troubleshoot, and help others. My younger 2 have loved learning in the camps and are looking forward to the Minecraft Camp coming up. Thank you Be Greater Than Average!!!”

“My daughter has attended several B>Average camps (Robotics, Media Arts, and 3D Printer), and participated as student-mentor for the STEAM camp. She has also participated as part of the R4Robotics team. She has learned many valuable skills, not just engineering-type skills, but also leadership, public speaking, and technical writing. I love the student-leader model of B>, where the kids can come into their first camp knowing nothing about robotics, 3D printing, or anything, then work their way up to be team members and mentors to younger students. Many work as paid camp counselors, and some get paid internships in local labs and companies. [Others] go on to get engineering and Media Arts degrees. I don’t know of any other camp program that acts as a conduit to support tech-loving kids all the way from camper to professional.”

“If I could rate these camps with a 10 star I definitely would! I have seven children that have participated in these camps and even grown into mentorship positions for some of them. My children always learn so much, come home with great enthusiasm and a desire to learn more. I have seen tremendous growth in their knowledge and excitement to learn as a result of these programs!”

Dear Dr. Gruenig… AND THE ENTIRE B> TEAM
It was a delight to be asked to help trial (and launch) your next fun idea…. VIRTUAL parties! The party goers all really seemed to enjoy themselves and their fun (creative) activities. It was especially great to have the opportunity to interact with others during theses days of distancing. We’re thankful for your efforts to keep the world connected through STEM… and for helping to celebrate joyous events.
Hand Washingly,
Duke
